Resets & Relearns Help
Overview
Wi-Fi is Required to Use This Application !
The Service Resets and Relearns option provides the following features (if available):
| ● | Categorized (quick-access) menu to the supported vehicle specific resets/relearns (functional tests) |
| ● | Top Repairs Graph - Shows the top repairs related to the selected Reset/Relearn |
| ● | TSB’s and Safety Recall Links - provides links to related OEM service bulletins and safety recall information |
The resets/relearns listed can also be found within the Functional Tests option within each system. Naming conventions may vary.
Resets and Relearns are typically used after a repair to reset a parameter or configure a replacement component to ensure it is recognized by the applicable module(s).
Resets - reset a parameter back to factory specifications.
| – | Examples: oil service indicator light, O2 sensor heater, transmission shift adaptives |
Relearns - initiate the "learning mode" of a module in order to allow the module to learn the new parameters of the replacement part.
| – | Examples: throttle body relearn, valve body relearn, idle air relearn, TPMS |

Basic Operation
Home Screen: [Typical] Scanner (Vehicle Identification) > (Vehicle System Menu) > (Service Resets and Relearns)
After identifying the vehicle, select the Service Resets and Relearns menu option from the system menu.
The number in the blue icon indicates the number of resets and relearns supported for the vehicle.

Making a selection from the Resets/Relearns menu opens the related information screen for that specific Reset/Relearn.

The information provided may include:
| ● | Top Repairs Graph - Shows the top repairs related to the selected Reset/Relearn |
| ● | TSB’s and Safety Recall Links - (if available) provides links to related OEM service bulletins and safety recall information |
| ● | Functional Resets and Calibrations - Resets/Relearns that can be completed using the diagnostic tool. |
Read and follow the directions onscreen exactly to perform and complete the Reset/Relearn.
